Who We Treat
Our teen program provides an intensive treatment for teens and adolescents who need more than once-a-week therapy to help with symptoms of:
- Anxiety disorders
- Major depressive disorder
- Bipolar disorder and mood instability
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Trauma-related conditions
- PTSD
- Other significant mood or anxiety-related challenges
We do not provide treatment for patients experiencing active psychosis, psychiatric emergencies requiring inpatient care, or primary substance use disorders that need addiction treatment. In most cases, Medicare and Medicaid will not cover the services that IOP provides.
Bridging the Gap in Teen Mental Health Treatment
You can see that your teen needs mental health support—and you want to help—but finding the “right time” for treatment seems impossible. Between school, extracurricular activities, and after-school jobs, you can’t just pull them out of everything for inpatient psychiatric care. But at the same time, one therapy session per week doesn’t feel like enough support for what they’re going through.
We understand how overwhelming it is to know your child needs a higher level of mental health care when it seems like every option requires turning their life—and yours—upside down. We created our teen program at IOP Services to bridge that gap.
Structured Support That Fits Your Teen’s Life (and Yours)
More Support Than Weekly Therapy
Your teen receives 9 hours of structured therapy each week, offering constant support and skill-building beyond what once-a-week therapy can offer.
Your Teen Stays With Current Providers
We coordinate your teen’s treatment with their current therapist or psychiatrist to help stabilize symptoms while continuing their broader treatment plan. The program lasts around 12 weeks for most people.
Flexible Virtual Care for Teens
With virtual treatment, your teen can receive intensive mental health support to recover and regain stability, while keeping up with their schoolwork, after-school job, and extracurricular activities.
