Bios
Melanie Cole is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and holds certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has a master’s degree in education and a doctorate in psychotherapy, with over 25 years of experience in a wide range of settings.
Melanie has spent all her life supporting military soldiers and has a particular passion to help those who serve and have served in the armed forces. She also has lengthy experience treating first responders in their struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Melanie has developed the skills to integrate various modalities of therapy into her role as an individual and group facilitator. These include but are not limited to Humanistic, Positive Psychology, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Using these methods, she guides individuals in identifying problem areas, setting reasonable goals, and offering the necessary support to achieve desired outcomes.
In her free time, Melanie enjoys sports, travel, and music, as well as spending time with her husband, three children, and Bernedoodle (Duke).
